This event was particularly exciting, because the museum curator allowed me to use the RESOLUTE DESK Queen Victoria had made for her private yacht. It was incredible for me to be able to actually use the Queen’s writing desk to sign my books!

This lecture was part of the National Maritime Museum’s North-west Passage: an Arctic Arctic Obsession Exhibit. My “for members only” illustrated lecture about HMS RESOLUTE was well received. I began my presentation by singing
“LADY FRANKLIN’S LAMENT”
and finished with the song I wrote about RESOLUTE:
“HUZZAH FOR THE RESOLUTE!”
Afterward the members joined in a lively discussion, including some questions and answers, followed by refreshments and the opportunity for the members to buy copies of my book at the National Maritime Museum Book Shop.
